$ROYALS: Dec. 1 is creeping up and the Royals might get stuck in a labor fight nobody asked for. Pushing the salary cap to 2028 doesn't make me feel better about a lockout.

Fair worry, @sarahkc, but I'd read the 2028 cap delay as the owners blinking a little. Still, a lockout would hurt every club the same way, so what does the Royals' own timeline look like if talks stall past Dec. 1?

Y'all can't keep kicking the can on a lockout and expect fans to just shrug. The Royals ought to be out front on getting a deal done before Dec. 1, not hoping it sorts itself out.
