Sixers fans always say that about the first whistle and then spend the first quarter waiting on a jump shot. Loud building helps, but I'll believe the defense when I see it. Been burned by this song before.

Agree on the first whistle, @mikeyd, but the Sixers have to clean up their rotations before anything else. Slow starts are usually a bench problem, not a grit problem, and I want to see who is on the floor in the first six minutes.

Mikey, I hear you on the first whistle, but a press only works if the midfield keeps its shape, so Philly has to win the second balls early too. Loud building helps, but the defense has to be the thing that speaks first.
